WEST GROVE PA

Cindy made it to PA and participated in the finale event that Sedona Fitness and Spa held today. She had a great time! She will fly back tomorrow! I can't tell you how proud I am to watch her as she touches lives. This thing is going big and fast! I thank you for walking with her daily... She is a great woman doing great things each day! I also want to thank Cindys sister and my Bro-in-law for all their support! Keep on keeping on Cindy, I'm proud of you! As I watched you thru the glass window this morning at the ticket counter, I thought of all you have accomplished and almost told the stranger beside me that y ou were my wife as I pointed to you. I didnt want him to think I was a weirdo so I refrained. You were missed but glad you had the oppurtunity to go to PA and meet those great folks. love you, Mike

1 more week and the October Rally up will conclude! Great first Rally up with still a week left to participate. Cindy's Going on a Roadtrip (Air trip)

Cindy is going to PA, west Grove PA to be a part of the finale fundraiser that Sedona fitness and Spa has put together! Sedona has fundraised each Sunday in the month of October and the finale is Sunday 31 Oct. Cindy will be able to meet this great group of people that have supported a perfect stranger in her efforts to help others. Sedona Saw Army Wives and contacted Cindy stating they wanted to be a part of her efforts. THANKS SEDONA TEAM!!!!!!!

Way to go Diviniti Salon! You and your team raised $800.00 today for CHC!!!!! You and your team are awesome! You did great and am sure you will see those faces again. Thanks soooo much for working on your days off to make this a great CHC day!

If you do not live on the West Coast you may not have ever heard of this product. I talked to Melissa and she said you will love it. Please take a few minutes and look at her site. Proceeds go to CHC. Thanks Nichole for hosting this fund raiser! Thanks Melissa:) This party ends Friday. One item can make a difference.


Nichole has decided to keep the spa open until Friday to see how much money & products she can raise for Cindy's Hope Chest.

MORE OCTOBER RALLY UP FUNDRAISER EVENTS

Sedona Spa and Fitness in the state of PA
Every Sunday in the month of October they are hosting fitness activities at their location in support of CHC. They are also having a finale on Oct 31 with vendors and raffles etc. WAY TO GO SEDONA!!!!!!

Porter Ridge Middle School 6th grade class and teachers also support CHC. They are having a CHC Pink T-shirt drive from 1 OCT-13 OCT. Way to go 6th grade class!

Sonic restaurant in Indian Trail will host CHC night at their location on the 24th of October. A percentage of sales will go to CHC. (Way to go Bill and staff)!

Carolina Cartridge and supplies inc of Charlotte will also donate a % of their October sales to CHC!! Way to go CCS team.

Web Site looking GREAT!!! THANKS TSE!!!!!!!

I want to thank The TSE Group again for all the hard work and hours they have devoted to CHC. A great group of people doing great things for a Great cause. In case you didn't know, the TSE group is a marketing Company out of PA that has joined forces with CHC. They are committed to helping us reach out to all communities so that we may help more woman. They have just to name a few, developed the new website, designed our up and comming E-Brochure, contacted local bussiness to gain corporate sponsorship. This group of people are ONE OF A KIND. They have done this and more at NO CHARGE. I can only imagine what type of work they do for the clients that pay them. take the time to visit the website (thetsegroup.biz) Thanks again to the entire TSE TEAM!!!!!!

I also want to thank the EMBROIDME store located here in Indian Trail. They have worked hard as well and have a geniune care for Cindy and her cause. They have stepped up and made task happen last minute and supported Cindy since day 1. Francine and MR N,( he hates it when I call him Mr and SIR) you guys are greatly appreciated. If you have needs for embroidering, vinyl lettering, and everything in between. Check out the store in Indian Trail or contact Cindy to get a hold of them. Great job on the t-shirts, bags and hats recently...

We have been extremely busy this past two weeks but will update you in the next couple of days as far as the October Rally Up fundraiser. There are several events going on across the states and more scheduled. Here in Charlotte we have 2 more events this month as of now.

1.) October 24th
1-6 PM
Diviniti's Hair salon///Idelwild rd and 485
Cut a Thon for cancer
Kids haircuts= 15.00
Mens cuts= 20.00
ladies cuts= 25.00
They will have 4-5 stylist on this day and ALL proceeds go to CHC. This is a 4 star salon. They will work on appts first and fit walk ins when they can. We will have a flyer made up soon. This is a great salon with great people.


2.) October 30th(ADULT PARTY) Sorry kids!
8PM-until
Bent Creek Clubhouse
"Cindy's Hope Chest 1st annual Halloween Spooktacular Costume Ball"
Music, Dancing, Prizes for the funniest and scariest costumes. Plenty of Goolish delights to eat!!!!!

The TSE Group which is a marketing group out of PA is working hard on Cindy's new web site. The TSE Group contacted Cindy after watching the Army Wives finale show. They told us that they wanted to be a part in Cindys cause. Terrie, the owner said that her firm would donate the time and resources to assist CHC in marketing as well as various other task. THEY(entire staff) has worked hard already and contributed more than we ever imagined. They have helped with numerous task and complete task on a weekly basis. 1ST Annual October Rally Up Fundraiser

1st annual October Rally Up fundraiser

Fundraiser organization:

Mike Summers will be the primary point of contact for the 1st annual October Rally Up fundraiser. All questions, concerns and ideas should be addressed thru Mike Summers. His phone number is 704-668-6803 and email is john.summers@usarec.army.mil. This fundraiser will be a multi state event with hopes that we will encompass all 52 states. This will require all parties involved to utilize all resources available to include email, face book, twitter, blogs and word of mouth. CHC can and will provide request letters as well as receipts for all (tax deductible) donations made.

Timeline: 1 October -31 October

Mission:

1.To raise funding for the increase in request for assistance after the Army Wives show aired

2.To raise breast cancer awareness during breast cancer awareness month as well as promoting “early detection saves lives”

3.To continue to make woman aware of Cindy’s Hope Chest and our mission statement

4.To rally up a team of volunteers/supporters as well as new beneficiaries so that we may gain strength in numbers as an organization

Goals for October 2010

1.To raise 10,000 dollars in the month of October

2.To average 50 hits on the website each day during the month of October

3.Complete updating website

4.Create a database of all supporters/volunteers and beneficiaries

5.Complete new business cards with new logo

6.Complete new E-brochure

7.Obtain 5 new corporate sponsors

8.Raise awareness of CHC during the Susan G Komen walk in charlotte on 2 October

9.Raise awareness of CHC during the bases for breast cancer at a local church in Monroe, NC 8-9 October

10.Send a basket or bag to all request (surge from the response) after the Army Wives Gives Back venue


Situation:

1.CHC needs to raise breast cancer awareness as well as “Early detection save lives”

2.October is breast cancer awareness month and a great time to make a mark and get CHC on the breast cancer awareness map

3.All donations by individuals/businesses, as well as fundraising efforts will be posted daily on CHC website, Cindy’s blog and Face book. This will spotlight all efforts towards this fundraiser. We will have a running tally so all parties are aware of the current status of meeting the goal for October.


Intent and concept of fundraiser:

These are just a few ideas to assist you in your efforts, be creative and use your imagination and have fun!!!!!!! You will be surprised how giving people are and how they take pride in helping others.

1.Car wash

2.Bake sale (a lot of bagel and donut shops will donate yesterdays goods) that you can collect donations as a fundraiser

3.Garage sale

4.Lemonade stand

5.Raffle off baskets of goodies that were either purchased or donated

6.Krispy Kreme Donuts has a fundraising program

7.Get your church involved

8.Get your neighborhood involved

9.Get your co-workers and employers involved

10.BBQ and spaghetti dinners

11.Corn-hole or bowling fundraiser

12.Canvass local businesses

13.Simply ask friends and family to help your fundraising effort

14.Google “fundraising ideas” for more ideas

Strength is in numbers and numbers is what will make this a successful 1st annual Rally Up Fundraiser!! Let me give an example:

500 people tell 5 people, each and those tell 5 people each and so on. It doesn’t take long to get thousands involved. What the first 500 do with the information is the key!
