VBS

Tonight is the last night of VBS for Cindy's Hope Chest. It has been super fun. I was asked and gladly accepted to be the mission project for a local church here. (FUMC) I have been working with kids from 5-11. The first night we spoke about cancer in kiddy lango. Sick and sad cells and so on. Some of their responses were so sweet. We made bookmarks for newly diagnosed patients and then the second night we made cards of encouragement. It was great. I know they are going to love them. I think my highlight so far was when one of the young boys handed me his bookmark and I was looking at it. I was saying awwww I love it and then I read R.I.P......Oh......ohhhhhh why thank you it looks great. So now I know that I am going to have to review them all. We never talked about dying. Ouch that sure struck home. Here I am trying to encourage these women with positive things and that in reality is this could be reality. Anyway it just shows how sweet and innocent these kids are. Tonight I am excited because we are going to finish with bags that I had embroidered. Pictures tomorrow:)

Thanks for helping CHC
