Empty Nest

So this feels strange. Well I am not old enough to have an empty nest( it is just temporary) but Savannah and Madison left yesterday to stay with Mike's Dad until Friday. They are having a mini vacation. So I am missing them tons. Mike just pulled off a minute ago to head back to Charlotte. Today was a holiday for them. It was great to see him. The girls loved Valentines with him. He has always took the girls out on dates so they all got their time. Alexa is at school right now. It is just going to be the two of us. We are thinking of checking out a movie or two. I bet you can guess: Confessions of a Shopaholic and Fired up (cheerleading) I just need to see the rate and check them out first. So it will be a girls week around here. We have lots to catch up on. Seeing that she has a crush and they call each other bf/gf. It is the perfect time to chat. Yes Mike is about to die. His first born has a little more love to share other then him:) This leaves me with an empty nest during the days for the rest of the week.

I have an appt with the PT tomorrow. I am having problems with my arm and shoulder. I do not have full range and it is hurting something bad! Wednesday I will go to radiation. I believe I get marked and ready to go for the next week. I am getting nervous. So I am requesting all my Prayer warriors to give me a boost on Wed. Lord please continue to heal me and lead me to Victory.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend full of love

Standing by, Cindy....and what a wonderful lead-in to next week with some "girl time." Relish it, because these moments are so few in a young girl's life. Prayers for days that will be long remembered after this week!

Even with all the commotion, you sound really terrific. Ask your PT lots of questions; hope you get some helpful answers. PT is hard, too! Hang in there!!

Hey Girl,
Sorry I have been away for awhile. Please know that I continue to pray for you each day. So nice to hear that Mike was home for a visit.
Make sure you really enjoy the time with your Alexis this week. It will be a very special time for the two of you.
Who is going with you to your appointment on Wednesday? Hope you are not going alone.
I will be praying that all goes well.
Call if you would like.
Love to you, Cindy

Alone "Girl Time" is going to be special. Especially with Mike having to leave again.
I don't have girls, just 2 boys, but I cherish my one on one time with them and am lucky because they confide in me.
Just today my 17 year old and I started chatting and it ended up being a very heart felt talk re drugs, alcohol and sex. I don't think a lot of sons are quite so honest and open with their moms.

AND, I am still wearing your bracelet and praying for you.

Chin up!
We're all praying for you!

Sayda keeps me posted. Good luck with the radiation. Mine has been a cake walk. It really isn't as bad as it sounds. Ok not a cake walk but it is a lot easier than I thought. God knows what is in our hearts and if it is meant to be he well bless you.
And sometimes we don't understand his plan for us. Our prayers are with you and your loved ones.

Cindy,

I'm so glad you stopped by my blog...quite honestly, several weeks I left a comment (truthfully I can't remember which post) but it didn't sound like I had intended and I was actually concerned I had offended you. Not certainly wasn't my intention...although we've never met, I enjoy your blog - and its heart felt honesty especially as you "fight like a girl" against the cancer.

I begin another round of maintenance treatments in April..in order to keep my lymphoma in remission. The support of family and friends - even blogging ones - is such a tremendous blessing. I hope you are encouraged to know so many are praying for you - and cheering your victories!

I promise to be praying for you often! Checking on you, too...although, I don't always leave a comment.

God bless, Jennifer
